POC SPIN technology

As part of their ongoing bid to increase the safety leveraged by their helmets, POC have pushed the envelope with helmet design by looking inwards at how the support from the padding could be strengthened. With this new SPIN technology, they’ve inserted silicone bladders into the pads that – in the event of a crash – will ensure that rotational forces are not transferred to the head as the pads’ prescribed movement dissipates the forces. It’s an approach that shows innovation with both simplicity and ingenuity in the design. Unlike many current systems, the benefits gleaned from the POC SPIN pads don’t come at the cost of ventilation or comfort. Quite the contrary: the more secure pads create an elevated sense of comfort. The SPIN pads are being rolled out on certain POC helmets.
