With the Merino Membrane Softshell Jacket x OSRAM, Isadore demonstrate how functionality and clever innovation can be combined in a single jacket. The Slovak manufacturer has integrated LEDs in the side seams of the jacket that light up or flash when connected to a power bank and improve the visibility of the rider enormously – rearwards as well as to the sides. When you’re on the bike, the LEDs are at eye level with drivers, making them hard to overlook. In addition, the power bank stowed in a jacket pocket can also charge electronic devices like your smartphone. The LED seams don’t affect comfort at all nor do they affect freedom of movement. Thanks to the DWR coating, water rolls of the jacket in small showers while the fine merino wool inside keeps you warm and comfortable. There’s only really one question remaining: why does this jacket only exist now?
