Lauf rely on wide, voluminous 2.6” Goodyear tires, with the frame offering up to 3” clearance. The standard tires do a brilliant job of absorbing vibrations and small bumps, dramatically improving traction, which, combined with the bike’s composure and climbing efficiency, makes for an exceptional ride. The suspension features Rockshox’s intelligent Flight Attendant system, which automatically adjusts the suspension to the current riding situation, without requiring any input from the rider. The shock, fork, and power meter are all wirelessly connected, constantly communicating with each other. However, the Lauf Elja isn’t just a bunch of smart tech, and was developed with durability and low maintenance in mind, featuring a single-pivot rear suspension design and a second bottom bracket as the pivot point. Despite its high-end components and distinctive look, the Elja is reasonably priced.
