Lax Cycles | Lax One
With the Lax One bike, German startup Lax Cycles brings together utility, agility, and aesthetics in a refreshingly new package. The compact 1.6 m length and lightweight design make this mini cargo bike incredibly practical and fun to ride. The Lax One model we tested comes equipped with a hub motor and weighs 19 kg, while the motorless version tips the scales at just 15.4 kg. Thanks to a very smart design, both the battery and motor can be retrofitted or removed, making it easy to adapt the bike to different scenarios. A real highlight is the front basket, seamlessly extending the line of the top tube. Although the Lax One bike is available in just one size, our entire test team, which consists of riders between 1.65 m to 1.90 m tall, found it comfortable and easy to handle. The frame is welded in Frankfurt from lightweight, durable chrome-molybdenum tubing, making it particularly sustainable. The verdict: The Lax One breaks away from conventional categories, offering fresh and individual solutions for the growing demands of urban mobility.
