A bike that’s virtually guaranteed to expand your own personal limits, the Propain Spindrift has a seriously efficient and defined rear end with 180 mm of plush travel. Along with its slackened head angle, this bike will comfortably nudge you towards the gnarliest bike park trails around – and you’ll go willingly. The Spindrift still has reserves, even when other bikes have reached their limits. But it isn’t just the preserve of elite riders – with such a balanced package of geometry and handling, it’ll entertain any ability of rider. It corners with agility and always remains stable in the air. Even more impressive is the Spindrift’s performance on the climbs, which hasn’t been compromised despite its major downhill prowess. While it’s not a rocket on the ups, it’s certainly able to head up the hills confidently – long ascents are possible, but they aren’t the Spindrift’s main focus. In the usual style of Propain, the Spindrift can be customised online for a really fair price. Tall riders will bemoan the lack of an XL frame, however.
