SQlab 612 R Carbon-saddle

SQlab’s high quality 612 R carbon road bike saddle combines light weight and performance, without compromising comfort. The weight-optimised prototype saddle weighs just 146 g in the smallest of the three available sizes. Whilst the narrow saddle nose and wide dip provide plenty of legroom, the raised tail provides sufficient rearward support, especially on steep climbs. The saddle shell are made of reinforced plastic and rails are made of carbon, which is how the low weight is achieved, but this also allows stiffness and compliance to be tuned. In addition, the fibre layers are woven into different directions to allow for more stiffness and compliance. This, in turn, provides more comfort. Moreover, the proven SQlab ERGOWAVE shape relieves pressure on the perineal area. This successful concept is one of the very few that actually improves comfort without sacrificing performance and was therefore very popular amongst our test crew.
