ARῙV’s mid-drive electric folding bike is a unique specimen of urban mobility and a dream come true for all commuters who cover the main part of their journey by train but want to cycle to and from the station. The bike folds up quickly and easily at the pull of a lever and can then be rolled like a trolley. At ARῙV, safety and connectivity are high on the list of priorities. The Merge rolls out of the factory with LED lights front and rear and a USB port, which can be used to maintain the charge of a smartphone. Despite its small 16″ wheels, the Merge managed to impress the jury with predictable and precise handling and a composed ride. Furthermore, the brakes provide above-average braking power, considering we’re talking about a folding bike. Another clever feature: the guided seat post has a handy quick-release and also serves as a kickstand. Being one of few folding mid-drive bikes, the stylish Merge is relatively heavy. However, with its clever folding mechanism, small dimensions, confidence-inspiring handling and many clever details, ARῙV’s stylish urban cruiser really impressed the jury.
