Hiking or biking? With the 9.81 HI-RIDE, outdoor specialist Garmont brings the two worlds together. A shoe flexible enough to walk in comfortably and yet stiff enough to pedal? The two-piece GTF Hyve sole makes it possible. The front section that rests on the pedals is made of a special, non-slip material while the honeycomb structure of the outsole is denser than the rest of the sole. Both ensure better grip on the pedal, keeping your foot well planted even in challenging terrain. The Garmont 9.81 HI-RIDE relies on traditional laces, which can be secured underneath an elastic strap. The upper is made from an anti-abrasion, recycled ripstop nylon fabric and is lined all around on the inside. The breathable, washable footbed is made from 100% recycled materials. In a nutshell, the Garmont 9.81 HI-RIDE is a comfortable trail shoe which is still robust and safe enough to ride bikes in.
