Getsafe is perhaps the quickest and most modern way to take out bicycle insurance. From posh carbon rigs to pricey ebikes, you can insure pretty much everything on two wheels within seconds anywhere in the world via the smartphone app. The maximum insurable amount is €10,000. Registration, cancellation and settlements all happen via the app. Not only is this concept extremely simple and very user-friendly but it also comes at an attractive price and with a very fair cancellation policy – just one day! Theft protection applies around the clock, even for several bicycles at once, provided the bikes are secured with a standard lock. In the event of theft, Getsafe pays out the replacement costs. Founded in 2017, the company offers its insurance products in cooperation with the Dax group Munich Re. The jury particularly liked the flexibility and ease of use of the service.
