Giro’s Imperial racing shoe is your perfect companion for long rides on hot summer days. The upper material provides outstanding ventilation and a superb fit, which in turn translates into a high degree of comfort. The Synchwire upper doesn’t expand or stretch, meaning the shoe maintains a consistent shape over time. This, combined with two BOA fasteners on each shoe, ensures a snug fit without pressure points and allows for fast and safe on-the-fly adjustment. The stiff Easton EC90 SLX carbon sole efficiently transfers the power to the pedals. One practical detail: the heel block is bolted onto the sole and can be easily replaced. With its minimalist and streamlined look, the Imperial – renamed “second skin” by our test crew – weighs a mere 279 g per shoe in size 46. Thanks to the snug and comfortable fit and outstanding efficiency, Giro’s elegant high-performance road shoe became our jury’s favourite disco slippers!
