The magped GRAVEL pedals combine the beginner-friendliness of flat pedals with the efficiency of a clipless system thanks to an innovative magnetic mechanism. They give riders more control, connecting them with the bike without restricting comfort. The pedals come with metal cleats to attach to your shoes, which engage with magnets in the pedal body, relying on the magnetic force between them to secure the foot to the pedal. The connection isn’t as firm as conventional clipless pedals, but it does allow you to pull up on the pedals to a certain extent. As such, the magped GRAVEL pedals make for an interesting upgrade from flat pedals. You can always release your feet by pulling up hard, making them more intuitive to use when stopping at traffic lights or in critical situations. Since the shoes don’t clip into the pedals mechanically, you can also rotate your feet freely by a few degrees to the left or right, allowing you to find the most ergonomic position.
