The 4060 from new kids on the block, SCOR, shows the mountain bike industry how to tell a good story through customisation and clever branding. Instead of covering the frame up with their own decals, SCOR leave the bike’s look to their customers. The Swiss brand even allow you to come up with your own design for the frame protectors. The frame platform is available in two versions with either 140 mm or 160 mm travel at the rear. Thanks to a flip chip and angle adjustable headset cups, SCOR give the rider a lot of freedom regarding the wheel size and geometry settings. SCOR’s geometry and handling aren’t deliberately aimed at racing, but making the 4060 agile and playful to ride instead. After all, what counts for them is having a good time, not a fast time. And to make the fun last, the Swiss brand have thought of all eventualities and come up with clever solutions to avert potential issues. With a padded compartment inside the frame and a tool mount, there’s enough storage space for all your trail essentials, allowing you to leave your backpack at home. They even include a spare derailleur hanger, which is bolted to the frame.
