The result is an innovative system that stands out for its superb shifting performance and robust construction. The drop-bar setup with SRAM Force eTap AXS brake/shift levers combined with the 500 % range 12-speed mountain bike cassette, as well as the outstanding shift performance of the XX1 Eagle AXS mountain bike rear derailleur, sets a new benchmark in the gravel segment. The cassette provides a much wider range than conventional road bike models, while the rear derailleur is more robust than most of its road counterparts. The shifting precision is second to none. Furthermore, SRAM’s new gravel-specific setup allows for easy integration of a dropper-post remote on drop-bars with all 1x setups and prevents irritating rattling noises – a common issue with stiff, unsuspended gravel bikes.
